WHAT'S AN ABDOMINAL/BELLY/WOMB MASSAGE?

THE MAYA MASSAGE by XIXA

during the massage you will be lying down on your back, with your abdomen exposed (area below your ribs and above your pubic bone). i will pour oil on your belly, so please make sure you’re wearing loose/comfortable clothes, that you don’t mind getting a bit oily. i will begin the massage with a brief prayer or invocation, and then i’ll start rubbing your belly with the oil. i might also work on some lymphatic drainage around the groin area. during the massage i also channel the loving and healing energies of the cosmic mother, mother mary & mary magdalene, as well as the spirits of plants such as rose, damiana, and rosemary. this is a physical as well as a spiritual healing, so you can expect physical, psychospiritual, and emotional benefits. at the end of the massage, i remove stuck emotions with magnets for those interested.

during the massage you might experience different sensations. here are some examples:

-falling asleep

-hearing your stomach gurgle

-feeling energy & movement in the abdomen and groin area

-wanting to pass gas

-feeling emotional, tearing up or crying

-getting visions or messages

-feeling sensitivity or tension in the area

-getting into a state of deep relaxation

-laughing or getting ticklish

-none of the above

ultimately, there is no right or wrong way to feel. whatever you’re experiencing is perfect and welcomed with open arms. please let me know if you feel any ACUTE pain, or if you feel too cold, hot, or uncomfortable in any way.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

maya abdominal massage is not recommended under the following conditions:

-during active menstruation

-immediately after abdominal surgery

-when there’s an active infection or cancer present in pelvic area, or while undergoing active treatment of chemotherapy

-during the first trimester (14 weeks) of pregnancy

maya abdominal massage should be done gently under the following conditions:

-IUD

-postpartum

-hiatal hernia

COST OF OFFERING

the monetary exchange for this offering is $123 CAD. that being said, i am open to doing trades or receiving a mix of payments through money and other goods such as:

-fresh organic & locally grown produce

-ethically sourced happy & local meat or fish

-meals cooked with love and devotion

-trades for other massages/healing modalities

-organic and locally sourced herbs (rose, nettle, st john's wort, lemon balm, chamomile, etc)

-meaningful & resonant arts/crafts

-writing up a very brief review for my website or giving feedback about your experience

-a prayer for my practice to bloom in alignment and abundance

-your own suggested donation, or a combination of some of the above

there’s no reason why you should not receive this healing if you feel like you need it, so please reach out even if you believe you can’t afford it. we will figure something out.

on the other hand, you are always welcome to pay more if you are feeling abundant, generous, and would like to contribute to the sliding scale possibility i offer to those in need.

there’s no added tax & no receipts for insurance coverage. cash payments are preferred, although e-transfers is also accepted.

TIME & PLACE

i offer this massage at my home in the south side of port alberni. times for a massage are thursdays & fridays at 10:30am and 2:30pm (some flexibility time-wise could be arranged). the treatment lasts approximately 1h15mins. you should not be rushing or moving strenuously/hastily after your massage. move gently, drink lots of water, and leave space for rest.
